Welcome to Delhi Public Secondary School, Mirzapur. We are delighted that you are considering enrolling your child in our institution. Our admission process is designed to be transparent and straightforward, ensuring that every eligible student has the opportunity to become part of our academic community.
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Pre-Primary (Nursery to UKG):
- The child must be at least 3 years old for admission to Nursery.
- Age-appropriate development and readiness for school are considered during the admission process.
- Primary (Classes 1 to 5):
- The child should have successfully completed the preceding class from a recognized school.
- A valid transfer certificate and previous academic records are required.
- Secondary (Classes 6 to 10):
- Admission is based on the successful completion of the previous class from a recognized school.
- Academic performance and behavior records from the previous school are considered.
- Senior Secondary (Classes 11 & 12):
- Admission is based on the marks obtained in the Class 10 board examination.
- Availability of seats in the desired stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) and academic performance are key factors in the selection process.
2. Admission Process
- Step 1: Application Form
- Parents/Guardians must obtain the admission form from the school office or download it from the school's official website.
- The completed form should be submitted along with the required documents before the deadline.
- Step 2: Entrance Examination (for Classes 1 and above)
- Applicants may be required to appear for an entrance examination, which assesses their knowledge and skills in relevant subjects.
- The examination date will be communicated to the applicants in advance.
- Step 3: Interaction/Interview
- For Pre-Primary and Primary admissions, a brief interaction with the child and parents will be conducted.
- For Secondary and Senior Secondary admissions, a personal interview with the student and parents may be held to understand the student’s goals and expectations.
- Step 4: Selection and Notification
- Based on the performance in the entrance examination and interview, successful candidates will be notified via email or phone.
- Selected students will receive an offer letter and instructions for completing the admission process.
- Step 5: Fee Submission and Document Verification
- Parents must pay the required admission and tuition fees within the stipulated time to secure the seat.
- Original documents, including the birth certificate, transfer certificate, and academic records, must be submitted for verification.
3. Documents Required
- For All Classes:
- Completed admission form
- Birth certificate (original and photocopy)
- Passport-sized photographs of the student (4 copies)
- Aadhar Card copy of the student and parents
- For Classes 1 and above:
- Transfer certificate from the previous school
- Report card or mark sheet of the last class attended
- For Senior Secondary:
- Class 10 board examination mark sheet
- Migration certificate (for students from other boards)
- Character certificate from the previous school
4. Admission Policy
- Admission is granted based on merit and availability of seats.
- The school reserves the right to refuse admission to any candidate without assigning a reason.
- Preference is given to siblings of current students, alumni children, and wards of school staff, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria.
- Special consideration is given to students with exceptional talents in sports, arts, or other extracurricular activities.

6. Fee Structure
